Riding a horse is so simple. Just get on the horse and let yourself be carried. That’s exactly what you think, isn’t it? But riding a horse is so much more. It is a unification of the rider and the horse and not quite as simple as you think. At times it can be hard work and very tiring.
But why do so many love this sport? Why don’t they play football or rugby or…?
Because it is a great sport and one of the few sports that includes animals. And it is very diverse. There are so many different ways of riding a horse. This is what makes riding so interesting.
Every day is new and different because horses are personalities and they can be easy-going one day, but moody and difficult the next. You can learn so many things if you work with them. But you should know that if you want to learn to ride a horse it can be difficult and frustrating and sometimes even dangerous when you fall off the horse. And you should be willing to not just blame your horse when things go wrong, but to scrutinise your own behaviour, too.
And what do you need for riding? You’ll need a riding cap, breeches and riding boots. But to start with riding you can wear a crash hat, gym trousers and shoes with heels. And if you like you can wear riding gloves.
And one day you will gallop over a field thinking ‘It is like flying – just better! It is the other way to fly.
Many people in the world do sports. There are sports for teams, for two or just for one single person. But what is the best sport in the world?
For me it is definitely volleyball. Why? Because it is a perfect mixture of technical skills and team spirit. All volleyball players of one team have to be talented in a similar way. If one player is bad in that sport, the team is weak, because of him. In other sports like football you could avoid that player to take part at the match, but if you play volleyball every single player is included in the game.
That is the reason why I absolutely adore playing volleyball. The benefits are a strong team spirit and exciting games with lots of energy.
If you want to take it up, please be ambitious and don’t give up too early. Learning the techniques can take quite a long time. Practice makes perfect!
You will need some knee pads, because volleyball demands that you give it all.
If you keep this in mind, I’m sure you will love it just as much as I do.
Sport is necessary to stay fit and healthy. In addition to eating right, you can create a good way to stay healthy for a long time by doing sport regularly.
If you do sport you will not only stay fit, but you will also live longer. I, personally feel better after doing sport. It’s a great way to forget about your troubles at school or work. In my opinion, it’s the best compensation to your workday.
But you do have to spend enough time doing sport. If you are doing sport only once a year it won’t do anything.
Additionally you have to mind what you eat! If you are doing a lot of sport but eat lots of unhealthy food it won’t give you the effect you want.
In my opinion, sport is really important for everyone. Even if you only have time to do sport twice a week, the important thing is to do it regularly.
The best way to get in a good mood is to play volleyball. For when you have begun once, you don’t want to give it up.
But why is volleyball such a great sport? Well, I like it because it’s a team sport. You become one with your team when you’re playing against another team. It’s great fun to keep an eye on the ball so it doesn’t touch the ground. When you come home after playing volleyball you feel free and happy.
If you want to start playing volleyball in your free time you should study the various techniques before you take part in a real match. Make sure that you wear good, comfortable shoes and buy some protection for your shins.
So, why not give volleyball a try? Don’t hesitate, look for a club and ‘just do it’!
Most people think of Thai boxing as a very brutal sport. But trust me this sport is not just a brutal sport and when you do it, you will experience lots of advantages.
So what are the advantages of this sport? In my opinion it’s a good way to get rid of aggression and stress by hitting the punching bag. Also, you gain a higher level of fitness. The most important point is that you learn to defend yourself against attacks.
If you’re thinking of taking it up yourself, don’t give up when you notice that the others are better than you, for example in sparring fights. Also make sure that you buy boxing gloves which fit well.
I hope you will see that Thai boxing is more than just a brutal sport once you have tried it yourself.
It’s the 88th minute of the game. Each team has shot one goal. The goalkeeper kicks the ball next to you. You look around but there’s no teammate you could pass to. Maybe you can try to… You shoot. Goal! Your teammates start running towards you. You are the man of the match!
This is one moment you can only experience if you play soccer. Soccer is a teambased sport. You have to choose your role and position on the pitch. The most important thing is to play as a team. Fast combinations and clever tactics are the best way to win the game!
If you’re thinking of joining your local soccer club you should buy basic equipment to start: soccer shoes, sports clothes and shin protectors. At the beginning you should concentrate on playing easy balls.
But if you keep playing you will be a good soccer player in no time. And then you too will feel the “magic moments” of soccer!
My favourite sport is waterskiing. I did it in June at my best friend’s birthday and it was a lot of fun. We drove to Norderstedt, where there is a great new waterski facility. It doesn’t matter how old you are, my friend’s 11-year-old sister was nearly as good as her father. It was the first time for me but this is no problem if the instructors are good. You don’t have to buy waterski gear like the skis, a neoprene suit and a life jacket, because you can borrow it there. The only cost is the ticket. You can buy a day-ticket or, if you are really interested in becoming a good waterskier, a season-ticket. You can also book for a private event like we did for the birthday. So let’s be active in the summer and try waterskiing!
